Aka-san, an Oni doll. Faux leather horns, felt eyebrows, jersey "skin", and handmade necklace with "teeth" made from small-gauge wooden dowels, sharpened and painted bone white. Hair is caron "bliss" yarn, and each strand was individually hand-applied to achieve the widow's peak hairline. The sideburns are braided and tied with cord. This was an "experimental" doll, anf the pattern pieces were mostly hand-drawn using a few different patterns for reference.
